House protection & automation

Last week burglars broke into my house while I was sleeping there and stole my Wii.
So now it's really the time to do some things about home security to make sure it doesn't happen again.
the idea
It will actually consist of 4 main parts: detection, ident logic, alarming and web logging to make it fun.

here is a list of connected items:
- mainboard
- keypad
- sound alarm

The arduino ethernet has no USB connection, so it has to be programmed via rs232 or with a avr prorga

the casing
As you can see, I used a cheap lunchbox for my casing, it is about 20x less expensive than dedicated casings. One drawback, it looks really cheap :).
